Maximillian's Downfall: Little Bill

recently Jon and I lifted our ban of no TV for Max. It started out simply enough when Jon moved to PDX ahead of us - in the evening when I came home from work, Max was allowed to watch 2 Yo Gabba Gabba's. Then we went to Phoenix for the Christmas holiday and Max watched no TV. The first week we were in PDX we had no TV so again Max was OK with no TV, but once it arrived an we had cable he was back on Yo Gabba Gabba and then started obsessing over The Backyardigans.

Max was obsessed he had to watch 2-3 even 4 a day. I think its too much, but it seemed to make him happy. Backyardigans has been replaced by Little Bill (a show that is no longer on- produced by Bill Cosby). I am concerned. Max doesnt want to play outside and seems to live vicariously through this show. I don't know what to do. In a way its better than Backyardigans because Little Bill is more realistic than adventure and fantasy but its all the TV watching. He used to love stories and never wants to hear them anymore. I also just took him outside to meet a friend and he had a complete meltdown and only wanted to watch "Little Bill."

This is going to be one tough summer.
