"Our Deepest Fear"

What are your "Fears"......have you thought about this?
Many people have them and live their entire lives...paralysed by them.
Everyone has things they have to deal with.
Myself included.

Maybe it's a bad report you received this past year.....maybe it's spiders...maybe it's flying in airplanes...maybe it's riding in cars or fears over finances.

Whatever "it" is.....we can turn those fears over and get past them many times but it takes courage.

It isn't always easy to cast them away and sometimes we need the help of others.

Sometimes we've gotten over those fears....only to have them...."come back again."
Not good.

I came across this poem that "the Girlfriend" presented to me a gift before she moved away this past Fall. I thought it was very nice of her and after reading it and liking it.

I stuck in on a shelf in my office.
Typical.

I discovered it again today....while cleaning. :~)

I thought some one might be inspired by it as well......it is good.

Very impressive points and thoughts. Especially at the end......read the LAST SENTENCE closely. Because it rings truth.

It is TRUE...whenever we "give up our own fears"....we will and DO encourage others to do the same.
Think on that for 2008.
I am.

I have a few "fears" myself that need to be put back under my feet. I've allowed them to have some space (all they want is an inch you know) in my life and it's time for them to GO permanently.

I will say that I am NOT endorsing the author and all her personal views but I did "read up" on her and I like what she's doing with what has happened in her own life.

"Our Deepest Fear"
by Marianne Williamson

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others"
