Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have split after nearly two years together. One of the reasons behind the split, it was reported that the twosome have been clashing over their careers. Us Weekly claimed that Jenner felt he was held back by Lavigne. "Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe," said an insider.
The inside source continued on, "He hasn't worked and he wants to." Accordingly, 25-year-old Lavigne said no to multiple TV show offers 26-year-old Brody received. "They were both unhappy because he wants to have his career, she wants him to stay with her," the insider further explained.
While Us suggested that career was to blame, Life & Style said the two actually are not on the same path when it comes to marriage. "She wanted to settle down, but he wasn't exactly ready," so said a source. "They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship."
