This was a disaster game for Cuba. Yadier Pedroso, the best pitcher that Cuba has right now, should have been the starting pitcher.
Once the score was 7-0 in favor of the United States, I knew that it was going to be very difficult to win that game. Cuban pitching was very weak, and the mighty Yankees prevailed at the end.
Cuba now will have to wait until the 2013 World Baseball Classic to try to avenge this sad loss in international competition.
Cuba will play today for the bronze medal at 3:00 p.m, and the USA will play Canada for the gold medal at 8:00 p.m.
