Tuesday. Lazy+ Sassy + Sunny
I was inspired today to wear my Penilope dress. I was volunteering at Isobel's clubhouse this morning (and it wasn't TOO hot yet) so I paired it with some flat gladiators and my version original zebra cardi. On the way we stopped at Cafe Umbria for our morning dose of snottiness and a $3.75 iced vanilla latte (MUCH bigger than a Starbucks Venti in NYC and like $1 less).
I love Penilope. Its such a comfy dress, I think i may live in it this summer. If you have it, hold on to it, its the PERFECT summer dress and does not wrinkle. By lunchtime however it was super warm, so I changed into my Rita cardi (another good look with this dress). Max + I met Amy at Whole Foods to buy lunch to go eat in Jamison Square by the fountain $9.54, then walked her back to work. I ended up going to Saks and buying some Marc Jacobs perfume and some Fresh deodorant $108 (its really sad that its the only place you can buy Fresh + Marc Jacobs fragrance besides Nordstrom downtown).
I was happy to finally speak with Elizabeth at Doyle + Doyle. I really want to get the ring situation sorted. I have so many expensive things in my life that are broken or in disrepair and I just want to have closure. So when I am back in NYC when ever this sample sale is, I will bring the ring over and find out how to proceed. I love that ring.
I also spoke with Joseph at Bergdorf and they are supposed to be getting in some black 225 bags in the medium size this week, so HOPEFULLY my contacts at Chanel will speak with them and secure a bag - again I feel like I am doing all the leg work and its frustrating pushing a stroller with one hand while gabbing to someone 3,000 miles away on the other. The bag situation will also be interesting as I originally paid $2695 for the bag + tax (around $225) and due to Oregon having NO TAX the new bag clocks in around $2795 + shipping, so I have a feeling that they are going to owe me $125 which would be delightful.
That said as first world as it is, both the ring + bag situation are totally draining.
I was hoping Max would nap (he did not) and so we walked to NW 23rd to wander around, look at flowers and houses (plus its all uphill so exercise for me!) stopped by Starbucks for a bottle of water, a cookie and another iced vanilla latte $6.50 then went to meet Tandosie and Mahala back at Jamison Square where Max got completely drenched playing in the fountain.
We are finally home and waiting for Jon to go to a building event tonight (our building does tenant events like movie night or free dinner!) I am thinking I may wear either my Marius jacket or bust out the Otto coat...
I am also thinking of selling my Miho top. Its a size 6 and I never wore it. Its in perfect condition - so def up for a good swap etc.....
