AHHH. Beautiful sunny Sunday. We woke, ran out of the house by 10:30 but when we arrived at the zoo at 11:15 there was no parking. it was PACKED. We took Max to the playground in Washington Park and he ran wild for about an hour before we headed over to Nob Hill (NW 23rd) to have some lunch. After some delicious Mexican food (Max LOVES rice + beans + cheese- I thank Jill Kloiber for this) we decided to take an impromptu drive out to the beach (about an hour away) after about 40 minutes of driving through mountains, and enjoying the scenery, we decided to turn around and head home. The weather was so nice that I was AGAIN inspired to wear my Sylvestre dress and lilac cardigan with leggings and some old flat prada sandals.
We stopped at Dairy Queen (I haven't been since Coronado 2003) and got the crazy blizzards then hit Target to get Easter basket (yes I am a bad Jew) fixings for Max, went to Cupcake Jones to get the DELICIOUS Almond Joy and Jelly Bean cupcakes that they have on Sunday's in April.
Jon took Max to the park to play by our house and I went to whole foods to get salad fixings. The wine selection at my whole foods is outrageous. They had all these amazing looking rose's in, and I am so bummed that I have 6 days left where I can't drink (I can drink on my medication but it can cause intestinal bleeding or something - so I don't want to risk it no matter how much I would love a glass of rose). It was a nice day spent with my two favorite boys that I will think about all week.
That said I am bittersweet about possible tweets this week. I have finally saved around $1,000 (close too) for my trip to NYC when Mayle has the sample sale and part of me is afraid that something is going to come in this week that I will want like the clogs or another dress in the Inferno bird (or even some holiday 05 or 06 material) that I have been dying for.
I am pretty much out of Mayle that doesn't fit and I soooo don't need a week filled with distractions. But I will be checking twitter and the Picassa website to see what may arise.
