Dearborn Hosts Arab International Festival

More than 300,000 people from across the country and Canada are expected to attend the Arab International Festival in Dearborn June 18-20.
The 15th annual festival will transform 14 blocks of Warren Avenue between Schaefer and Wyoming into the largest Arab-American celebration in the nation.
Attractions include carnival rides, live music and authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
Free passes to the new IMAX theater experience "Arabia" now showing at the Detroit Science Center, will be given away at the festival.
Leo's Coney Island in Dearborn will sponsor a Halal hot dog eating contest and will offer cash prizes to those who eat the most hot dogs.
The first ever "International Idol Contest" sponsored by Four Star Health will be held on June 19 beginning at 1 p.m. on the main adult stage.
Carnival rides. Live music. Mediterranean food. Hot dog eating contests. Sounds like fun! Maybe I'll go next year and hope I don't get arrested for being Caucasian, as that might cause a disturbance within the Arab crowd.

When the footage is released it will be posted here.
