I had to log off before to take Max to lunch and the play (which turned out to be an ADULT musical - not anything pornographic, just adult content). We ended up going to the art museum (it was family day) ran into some friends, checked out the China Design Now exhibit (as best we could) and then watch a 45 minute puppet show (6 puppet show vignettes).
Back to my eBay thoughts.
1. eBay used to police people who were keyword spamming way more often. Like me, I am sure that you subscribe to a "Mayle" search and find it incredibly annoying when you wake up each day, receive your "new Mayle items found" email only to find that the items aren't Mayle, they are Juicy, Celine, Anthropologie etc... it sort of drives me crazy because it's like a big tease. Not to mention that half the time the items are the farthest thing from what Jane would produce. EVER.
I am also surprised by the prices of some items. I know that I rant about this often - hey we are all trying to make a buck, but between incredibly high postage (that's not even UPS or FED EX for those prices) some of the asking prices are out of control. It's one thing if its a Ten Little Indians piece. That's exclusive, its special, its nearly one of a kind. I remember not that long ago - maybe this time last year that Vanya were going for $75-$150 on eBay. Now I see dresses that I sold two years ago for $99 being offered for $400. Of course the dress in question is from 2002 and its a great piece but not worth $400. I would personally re-buy it for $150. The fit is off on it. The only person I could even see it fitting is a body type like Kirsten Dunst.
Then there are some GREAT pieces from fall 2001 that I LOVE - the tweed skirt with the leather trim? I had that skirt in so may different color ways. I remember it was $250 in the shop. I LOVED it. One of my favorites. Of course I stopped wearing skirts as much and sold it. This one is an 8 on eBay for $45! Its cut a bit small, so if you are a 6 you should snap it up. It would probably work for a 4 as well. Same with the white skirt with the gold buckle.
