From Astrology Zone
Last month was not easy, but you've come through it, and October is looking very bright. Saturn in Virgo was to blame for many of the challenges that confronted you last month. Saturn first entered Virgo in September 2007 and has remained there ever since. While you didn't feel Saturn's testing aspects the whole two years, when you did feel them, life may have turned inside out for you. Think back to late 2007, all of 2008, and all the months of 2009 leading to this one. At some point, you faced a difficult situation, but you stepped up to the plate, met your dragons, and moved forward. You did well, dear Virgo, and the universe noticed your strength and grace under pressure.
OK - So the above seems right on. Late 2007 I started having trouble at work, and in spring 2008 I lost my job due to cutbacks (and a crazy boss). I was lucky to get some freelance in late August, then Jon got the job here in Portland so we moved.
This month you have reason for celebration. Saturn will finally leave Virgo on October 29, immediately creating a feeling of release and calm. Planetary storms were especially violent last month for Virgo and Pisces, for Uranus and Saturn had an angry dispute with each other and drew Mercury, the moon, and Sun into their vortex, creating a high wire act of rare proportions in September.
Think back to where you were prior to September 2007, and compare that to where you are now. Pat yourself on the back for all the growth and maturity you've gained. Your tour of duty with Saturn is nearing an end, for Saturn will leave Virgo on October 29. By next month you will feel instant relief.
Prior to September 2007 I was in a pretty cushy job, just had Max and my life was not too bad. But I have to wait 28 days for relief?????
It is true that Saturn will be back for a brief, 14-week stay in Virgo in the spring. (If you live "down under" that would be your fall.) Specifically, Saturn will re-visit the last three degrees of Virgo from April 7 to July 21. If you were born at the end of your sign, from September 18-21, you will notice this visit more than other Virgos born earlier in the sign. While Saturn will usually tour a sign for two years, we only feel Saturn's direct rays when it orbits over our head, so to speak, within a tolerance of plus or minus five degrees of the degrees of our natal Sun. This means we all get about nine months of Saturn's direct attention within that two-year period and we are tested most during of that phase. Saturn is very fair and will never waste time teaching you things you already knew or things you would never in a million years get to use. Saturn is practical - he gives you stuff you will find handy in the coming years. If you are a late born Virgo, born from September 17-21, you have not been given the whole nine-month tutoring session that all the other Virgos had been given earlier. If you are a late born Virgo, you had a little less than six months of Saturn's undivided attention, so he's coming back to finish up your tour of duty from April to July 2010. He is very even-handed, so this way none of the other Virgos can complain that some had more lessons from him than the others. Everyone gets the same attention. Last month all Virgos, and especially the late born Virgos, found themselves in a perfect storm of difficult aspects, the likes of which I have never seen in the heavens. It is rare to see a confluence of planetary energy like we had last month. Be of good cheer, because nothing in the future will come close to what you encountered in September. When Saturn comes back in April, you'll find those 14 weeks fairly easy to navigate. Last month was pretty hard for me - a lot of things came down at once - from Max getting into school, to being stressed about money and oh yeah, all the job rejection emails. Finances will be your main focus at the new moon October 18 and in the two weeks to follow - it is a perfect time to look for a new job or to get a raise. This new moon will appear in your second house of earned income, giving you a good chance to find new sources to make money to ease your cash flow. You may have already found one over the summer, and now will actually enjoy depositing it in your bank account this month. THIS is interesting. Around October 18th (or the week prior) I am supposed to reconnect with the company I am speaking with about a job that is open. It'll be important that you ask for your raise now, with no delaying (after October 18 plus two weeks), for Saturn will enter this same house on October 29 for a nearly three-year stay. This suggests that you may find it harder to get raises in the near future, so get your money now!
Be determined to get as much as you can now, just in case you should find future employers and clients to be maddeningly tightfisted. You do have a perfect window of opportunity now, and employers should be fairly generous. I can't see everything in your chart, but from where I sit, I do see a tightening of finances up ahead, but not now. You may say later that you are working harder for the money you earn. Still, the prospect of hard work never worries industrious Virgo. You always work hard for the money! Compared to the past two years, the coming influence will be easier for you, possibly even a snap. Nothing compares to what you've had!
Here is something else to consider. You have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, in your house of work assignments. Jupiter has been retrograde since mid-June, a weak position that has proven to be less than stellar. Now, however, on October 13, Jupiter will go to strong direct speed, and you will find it MUCH easier to get work, and to be paid generously. Jupiter will not retrograde again until July 23, so don't even THINK about that. Take one day at a time. From October 13 on, it will be easier to find work, and if self-employed, to get new clients. As you move closer to this day, you may even start to see the pace pick up, with some very encouraging signs coming up on October 9-12, for Jupiter and the Sun will work together to help you.
This would be a welcome relief.
Actually, just as your window of opportunity is closing this month for making good money, on October 28, Venus, by month's end in your second house of earned income, will meet up with Jupiter to try to get you one more piece of very good financial news. Watch October 28!
In regard to your health, the move of Jupiter to direct speed on October 13 will also be a wonderful influence on your vitality and well-being. Jupiter is associated with healing and all sorts of preventative measures we take to stay healthy. You will feel better, and if you have been trying to get a diagnosis, your doctor will have an easier time pinpointing what has been at the root of any concern you may have had and give you a plan of action.
100% awesome. Finally to know what is wrong with me!
Are you looking for a new pet? The move of Jupiter to direct speed should help you find the perfect pet for you because the sixth house, where Jupiter will be traveling, rules small domestic animals. If you have been worried about the health of your pet, you may now start to see improvement. I cannot think of a better time than after October 13 to spend more quality time with your little dog or cat, or to acquire a new one for your household. Have some fun together!
Romantically, you have a rather interesting chart. The eclipses of July and the ones coming on December 31 and January 15, 2010, will center on your private love life and help you rebuild your emotional life, or to draw closer to someone already in your life. Perhaps you met someone this past summer, in July or August. If so, that relationship will have a good chance of taking off. You seem to be revising your criteria for the right potential love interest for you, in the light of all you learned with Saturn in Virgo. You seem a bit more cautious than you have been in the past when entering a relationship, but you've also become more realistic, and that's to be expected. Actually, you will do fine. Your favorite phase will come early, in the first half, when Venus remains in Virgo from October 1 to 13. Also Mars, the energy planet, will be in your most social house, your eleventh house of hopes, wishes, and friendships, from October 1-15. My favorite day for love and fun for you will be October 13 when Venus will meet with Mars, and together they will dance the dance of love. In the first two weeks of October, you should easily link to friends, have plenty of things to do together, and enjoy an ease that was simply not possible in September. Life is getting better day by day, dear Virgo. Believe it!
October brims with good news, and after having come through September, a very difficult month, October's changes will seem not only welcome, but also possibly even miraculous. Saturn, which has toured Virgo for two long years, is about to leave on October 29, and when it does, your spirit and energy level will become bouncier and more optimistic. Saturn may have tested your closest relationship, your career, or health. Now each area of life - and others - will show improvement.
Saturn has a "tough love" approach to helping us all become more mature. His phases are not easy, but they are effective. Saturn visits are rare, coming every 29 years for a two-year stay in each sector of the chart. Because you will only get two to three visits from Saturn in Virgo in your lifetime, Saturn feels he will have to make his lessons indelible. That way you remember them forever, or at least until he has time to come back to refresh those lessons in almost three decades from now.
Saturn will retrograde back into Virgo from April 7 to July 21, 2010, to give the late-born Virgos (September 17-21) a bit more tutoring. By the time Saturn leaves for good, you will be done with this taskmaster planet until 2036. You are now wiser, tougher, and more practical than you've ever been before and Saturn's lessons will come in handy in years to come.
Now that you've coped with the many challenges that Saturn has thrown your way over the past two years, you're ready to receive your reward. Saturn never sends his gifts DURING his tour, but always leaves a gift by the door AFTER he leaves. You may receive it in November or December, or it may arrive a bit later, in six months. Your gift may be material or spiritual, but when it arrives, you'll know for sure that it's Saturn's way of saying thanks for dealing with his rigors. You earned it and you will have every right to enjoy it. The harder you worked, the greater the reward will be, and it will be directly related to something you struggled with. You won't have to scratch your head and wonder when it arrives if this is your reward - you will know when it comes.
This month has a heavy financial overtone, with the full moon October 4 bringing news of a situation involving "other people's money." It may concern a commission, royalty, licensing fee, insurance claim, inheritance, scholarship, or other type of funds. News should be upbeat. You may, alternatively, settle a long-term dispute, financial deal, or sale.
On and after the new moon, October 18, you will get a chance to ask for more salary, and you should jump at the chance. This will be your best point of the year to increase your income through a raise or by getting a higher salary from a new job. Here's news you need to know: Saturn will soon move into Libra on October 29, and when it does, it will likely freeze your income at the level you are at now. You may get a raise in the three years that Saturn will be in Libra, but increases are likely to be small. Be smart and ask for your raise after October 18 but prior to the day Saturn will enter Libra on October 29. If you manage to get your raise, you will have avoided the tightening influence and managed to get the most you could while you could.
As a coincidence, lovely Venus, hoping to help you, will reach out to Jupiter in your workhouse to see if she can get you one more piece of good news about money.
Socially, the start of October will bring a flurry of invitations to see friends, and you should accept. October 1-15 will mark one of your best times of the year to let go and have fun.
Later, when Mars enters Leo - October 16, 2009, to June 7, 2010 - you will likely decide to work on a massive project of great importance, one that will require you to work alone so that you can give it your full concentration. You may decide to write a book or a thesis, for example, or you may be studying hard to become a lawyer and be getting ready for exams. You won't feel as social when this trend begins (you'll become intent on finishing what you start - and that's a good quality.) Knowing this, take a little time early in October to connect with those you hold dear, while you will be feeling so light and free.
Dates to Note for Virgo:
Friends, fun, and events to attend should be plentiful October 1-15.
Best romantic evenings: October 5-6, 9 (gold star), 10, 14, 16, 20, 23-24, and 28-29.
Attend to a financial matter: October 4, plus or minus four days.
Ask for a raise just after the new moon October 18, but prior to Saturn's arrival in your house of earned income October 29.
A home-or-family-related matter should do well October 9 and 10.
An outstanding day for you: October 20, for any matter. It's lucky.
When Mars moves through Leo from October 16 to June 7, 2010, you may closet yourself away to concentrate on a project that needs a great deal of concentration, research, and quiet. You may write a book, for example, or get ready for a big exam.
You may have a great deal of interaction with medical or dental personnel during the same period, October 16, 2009 to June 7, 2010. This may be for you to tune up physically or mentally, or for a family member or friend whom you will be helping. Your health should improve enormously after Saturn leaves Virgo on October 29. Your outlook and spirit should improve, too.
