Sweet Friends

(Susie Harris and myself at "Jazz Daddy's."
My husband said I looked like an "AMAZON" up against her. She's very petite!)

I feel that I am very BLESSED to have so many sweet and precious friends all over the WORLD actually.
But this past Tuesday I was able to MEET an "online" friend in person. It was so much fun!

I've know this little lady, (oh and I do mean LITTLE.....she's tiny) for way over over a year plus. I met her through our blogs. Crazy I know but that's how it works. We laughed at lunch about how our families but think this is nutty. HA!

Her name is "Susie Harris" and her blog is beautiful and named....."Bienvenue" which in French means......"Welcome"
I have always liked her. I like her "humor" and I like her "elegance" and I like her "down to earthiness" all at the same time. Plus I think she is highly gifted.
I had asked her to make me one of her signs that she designs and we decided to "meet up for lunch" at a local little restaurant her husband likes to eat at.
We both ordered "Po-Boys" which is typical for this area. She had the ham and I had the fried oyster, of course. And we both LOVED the bread!! Nice and soft very yummy!.....HA!

But what was really GOOD was the rich visit we had.
She is just as "real" in person as she is on her blog. I appreciated her heart and hearing how she loves doing what she does and loves her family and her life.
She is the REAL DEAL and I love that in people.
No pretenses.

(Susie GAVE me the sign she had made for me and a beaded "House Blessing" she makes as well. How neat was that!)
We talked about life and our families and all kinds of things.....for about 3 hours. HA!

She's on her way to "Blissdom" today in Nashville with her sister.(Good thing I had planned ahead and brought her a little something as well.....HA!)

But we both plan on getting together again soon.

Now I want to meet these ladies all in PERSON please...K.J. and Julie, and Mary, and Jackie in ENGLAND, and Pat, and Bernideen, Teresa,....and oh my goodness I can't even put every one on here because my "list" is so long.....forgive me if your name isn't mentioned. I am thinking of you...it just would take all day to do this if I kept this up.

Ummm.....I think we need to set up a "meeting site" ladies. Maybe a "Bloggers convention???"

Where can we all meet?

I say we go to Jackie's country of course.......HA!
Anyone game???
What do you all think?

Calgon Take Me Away........

Elegant, poised, calm, and relaxed.

This is how I WISH I could be right now.
"Walking by a river bank slowly, pondering great things in my heard. Solving the worlds problems, and feeling satisfied."

Don't you think this is how this lady looks?

But this is how I have really been the past few days.......

I think that's me with the hands up in the air.
Probably screaming....."whewwwww hooooo!"

Can I tell you this...
I HATE "Roller Coasters."
I just can't ride them any more.
When I was younger.....I could endure them so much better.
I loved that feeling of being swung all over and not knowing what was next. Up and down and all around.

Life sometimes feels like this doesn't it? Thankfully.....there is grace for times like this.

However many times after being on the "ride" for a while I start to think....
"Where is that EXIT Sign???

These days don't always go away as fast as we want them to at times.
But we can get through them and we can "thrive....not just survive"during them.

I woke up waaay too early today.

I think I can either do two things....take a bubble bath and relax...or go back to bed and lay down for TWO hours possibly before I have to get up and fix my hair all big before meeting that very FAMOUS........"Suzie Harris" today for lunch.
She's got my new sign ready that I ordered from her.

I can't wait to see it and HER especially her!

~~Baby Update~~
Baby Aaron wasn't doing so good yesterday.
He suffered a severe "brain hemorrhage." A level 4. Which is the top of the scale.

The Dr's are speaking some things to my sister that we are not wanting her to hear right now....I am trying to speak PEACE into her life and remind her to think in the "super natural"....and not to look at the natural right now.
Aaron is going to live. They've told us that. It's just the other issues.

Please continue to believe with us for his health.

CUTE, cute, cute!

(One of Susie's signs she custom makes.)

One of the "Local Girls" in my area, who I've become good blog friends with is having a "CUTE, Custom, Homemade, Handmade, Sign Giveaway."

Check out Suzie's blogsite and put your name in for her free give away.

She's name her site fittingly for a South Louisiana girl.

It's called.....
"Bienvenue"
Which all of us living down here know translates into......"Welcome" in French.

Many towns in Southern Louisiana have big signs when you enter the city that say "Bienvenue" on them.....thus giving you a big ol' WELCOME in French into their city!

We lived in an area here in Louisiana for many years that did that as well.
And one other area near us also had all their city "Stop" signs and other city signs in French too.
That's one sure way to learn a bit of the language that so many of the people speak here.
HA!

I just ordered a smaller "M" sign to put in our house!
(Susie's small initial signs)
I can't wait to get it from her!
