So what are you looking for when you come to the tents?
I look for myself. I look for my website, and I look for editorial for photoshoots that I do and style. It’s kind of a broad range, so I check out a lot of diverse designers.
Do you have a favorite so far, or are you not gonna call it until the week is over?
I’m not gonna call that until the week is over. Obviously being in the Tibi family is nice. I’m obsessed with everything that she does. Peter Som is always one of my favorites. And Mischa who designs for Noonoo, the new label, and she’s fantastic. And she’s definitely brought her British aesthetic to clothing in New York which is nice. I’m a big supporter of British fashion.

Kristin Cavallari at Rachel Roy's Fall 2012 Show During MBFW

Mom-to-be Kristin Cavallari is spending a few days in New York City to attend Fashion Week — and she’s taking us with her! KCav will be blogging her way through the shows exclusively for PeopleStyleWatch.com, giving us inside info on her favorite fashions, the best parties and more. Here, in her first blog, she arrives in the Big Apple and gives us a preview of what’s to come:
"So excited for Fashion Week! Just got to New York and I love being in the city. New York has such great energy during this time.
This year I decided to only go to three shows. In the past, I’ve done numerous shows and it gets exhausting. I’ll be seeing Rachel Roy, Betsey Johnson and Dennis Basso. I’ve gone to Betsey every time I’ve been to Fashion Week and she never disappoints. It’s by far the most fun you’ll have at a show. Rachel Roy will be a first for me and I cannot wait. I’ve been a fan of her line for a while now. Dennis Basso will also be a first and someone that is new on my radar.
Fashion Week is definitely many a girl’s dream … and what’s not to love? I’ll be playing dress-up for the next two days and wearing some amazing outfits. You can take more fashion risks in New York and especially during Fashion Week, so I can’t wait to show you some of the risks I’ll be taking that I wouldn’t normally."

Olivia Palermo: Beautiful in Leopard at Rachel Roy's Spring 2012 presentation at MBFW

Just when we thought Olivia was nowhere to be sighted at New York Fashion Week, we spotted our girl crush at Rachel Roy's Spring 2012 presentation. As expected, Palermo culled together a fantastic ensemble wearing a sheer leopard print top and clutch by Reiss, Mulberry pocket skirt and a hot pair of purple platform sandals by Charlotte Olympia. After creating a photographers frenzy with her arrival, Palermo took time out to chat with us. Fun fact: her favorite Karaoke songs are from Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra. On Spring '12 collections: I'm looking forward to seeing some really nice evening gowns. I really need to focus on building my evening wear collection.
On Rachel Roy: I love everything Rachel does. I haven't seen the full collection yet, but there was one black look with an amazing print on it. I love it.
On other shows she plans on attending at NYFW: I'll be at Tibi, Marchesa, and I think that's it!
On what she can't live without during Fashion Week: My Blackberry and iPad charger because it always seems like I'm on empty battery.
