Obama calls Fluke
This just gets better every day!
Today we see the media and the left in an absolute uproar over Limbaugh's comments about Fluke being a "slut", a "whore", and a "prostitute". Though, not one of them so far has even come close to challenging the actual substance of his argument, colorful insults aside. Already, they are twisting his words to fit the usual left wing dialogue that Republicans hate women.
As Jammie Wearing Fools points out to us, Sandra Fluke has been raised up by the Democratic Party at just the right time. Not a 22 or 23 year old "coed", "third year law student", regular Jane who is suffering just like the rest of the regular Janes in college because contraception isn't free. No, she is actually a 30 year old "reproductive rights activist" and the past president of Law Students for Reproductive Justice.
Let's just take a step back and take a nice deep breath. Let it out. Good. Now let's look at the facts.
1) Sandra Fluke's argument states she can no longer afford to be sexually active and attend law school at the same time because birth control is not provided to her free.
2) Sandra Fluke and Democrats believe religious institutions, such as Georgetown, should be mandated by law to provide contraception even if it is against their religious beliefs.
3) Democrats and liberals are pushing the viewpoint that promiscuity is a right and should be protected by the law as such.
4) Democrats and liberals are lying to the American people that Republicans and conservatives are against all birth control and a hindrance to women's health.
There is no way around these facts. We see the collective temper tantrum by Democrats in response to Limbaugh's comments but none of them can actually dispute his claim. Sandra Fluke is so sexually active during law school that she simply cannot afford it, and now she wants the US Taxpayer to foot her birth control bill.
Much in the same way I immaturely ranted over this yesterday, I ask again. How can you Democrats actually take this woman seriously? And how can you take this President seriously for calling her and telling her that her parent would be proud?
This whole discussion, manufactured completely by the left from day one, is absolutely laughable! I would like to imagine that most of the people criticizing Limbaugh do so out of complete ignorance. By this I mean, they have logged onto the internet and seen a sensationalist liberal headline like "Rush Limbaugh calls college student a 'slut'", or "Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's vicious attacks on college student", with an accompanying photo of a fat, angry, red faced Limbaugh. Unfortunately, if these articles would cover all the things Sandra Fluke actually said, these people would have a completely different viewpoint.
What ever became so offensive about calling a duck a duck?
President Barack Obama on Friday phoned the Georgetown University law student who was called a “slut” by Rush Limbaugh to find out if she’s OK.
“He encouraged me and supported me and thanked me for speaking out about the concerns of American women,” Sandra Fluke, the third-year law student said on “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” “And what was really personal for me was he said to tell my parents they should be proud. And that meant a lot because Rush Limbaugh had questioned whether or not my family would be proud of me. I appreciated that very much.”
