7 teens charged with beating classmate unconscious
I am going to go out on a whim and say the majority, if not all, of the assailants, who should be charged as adults in my opinion, were black. I say this simply because of the fact the article mentions nothing about race. Had it been a black girl getting pummeled by a mob of white or hispanic students this story would be plastered all over CNN and MSNBC. Just a thought.
A second thought: what would you have done if you were the bus driver?
The article says he intervened the first time and the second time he couldn't control the situation so he drove to the school to notify officials. Were these 12-15 year old kids on steroids? Were they 6 foot 2 and 190+ pounds? Maybe the bus driver was an old man, who knows. All I know is, had I been the driver and saw the mob of animals beating a 13 year old girl to death I would have slammed on the brakes in the middle of the road, put the bus in park, and charged back there fists flying like a crazed maniac. Any man when put in a situation like this should have his adrenaline pumping paternal instincts to protect a child completely take over. Or if you are a woman, that maternal "Mama Bear" instinct. I think I would be more afraid of that one! Anyhow, when it comes to something like this where a girl's life is at risk, these attackers are not children. They are subhuman animals beneath dogs. I would have found no more delight than to have been able to land a clean blow right on the nose or jaw of each one of these animals. The more blood the better! I am sure a few of them would have been light enough to pick up and throw clear to the back of the bus.
So I ask what would you have done?
One girl allegedly asked students if they wanted to hit the victim, then instructed the teens to form a circle and began hitting and kicking the victim. Several witnesses said they saw the girl fall to the floor and "appear to have a seizure and pass out," according to the arrest report.
The victim, who is not being identified, was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion, severe bruising on her head and muscle spasms.
Seven teens, ranging in age from 12 to 15, were charged with battery and disorderly conduct. The Associated Press is not identifying the suspects because they are minors.
