A soldier's take on Soulja Boy's insult to the troops

I recently found out about this little insignificant gnat's ghetto words of wisdom regarding the United States military.

Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) in his new song "Let's Be Real":

F*ck the F.B.I. and f*ck all the Army troops
Fighting for what, bitch? Be your own man.

I was going to post other lyrics from the song but they are so idiotic I don't want to pollute the intelligence level further here. So let's stick to the above statement and yes, let's be real.

I don't care that this little pimp wannabe apologized for it or even that he volunteered to go on a free USO tour for the troops. I wish the USO would not have turned him down, brought the little punk over here and let him try to perform for us. The reception would be a once in a lifetime experience. I can guarantee you this...this little punk would be running off stage before he could even utter a word out of the toxic waste dump release on his face.

I am not offended by what he said at all, nor are many of the troops. Simply angered and disgusted. Seriously, who do you think you are? Going around making money off an image you criticize? Commercializing and exploiting the "military look" yet insulting those very people. Wearing fake stripes yet standing for a completely different set of ideals, none of which include courage or valor. You spineless good for nothing, lowlife SCUMBAG. What do you do for a living? Dance around like an in heat chimpanzee while uttering illiterate garbage about objectifying women and violence. You make me sick.

Look at this fool...

He makes a living out of posing as a soldier. These types make me sick. Wearing fake stripes, ribbons, dog tags, and rifle pins as a ghetto fashion statement. His stage name reflects who he is entirely, a boy. There is no man in this piece of thug garbage. There are a handful of colorful names I would love to call this guy on here, none of which are appropriate.

He didn't hurt the troops with his words. He only hurt himself. In one line, he insulted the very people who give him the right to utter such nonsense.

His apology has no meaning, because he didn't mean it. Not until the wave of backlash from both military and civilians hit him full force did he issue an "apology". The fact of the matter is, DeAndre Cortez Way is a cowardly boy, with no principle or sense of honor, duty, or commitment to a cause. He asked what we are fighting for. He said for us to be our own man. Maybe he should look in the mirror and ask himself that same question!

Put him through boot camp and he'll sing a different tune. Give him two green army duffel bags, tell him to pack up, leave his family and go to the desert and he'll sing a different tune. Put him on a convoy in the summer heat down an IED riddled highway and he'll sing a different tune!

Ungrateful, spoiled, whiny little thug.
