School has started, and already my new class is giving me a reason to believe it's going to be a great year!

Almost The End of August

In just two short weeks my baby will be in daycare/pre-school full time. I am sad we wont be together all day. Baby is growing up! Today for the first time, I rode the Max train to Llyod Center. There are two things that are now dangerous about the Max train:

1. I now know that in 5 minutes (essentially the time it took to go from 7th ave + 12 Street) I can get to Lloyd Center and shop Gap Body, and a wholeplethora of other random shops (plus Old Navy for Max)

2. The stop RIGHT BEFORE the mall is literally 30 feet from Burgerville. I adore Burgerville.

Oh and did I mention that its a "fareless square" for me to get there?

I bought Max three t-shirts and a jacket at Old Navy (Run DMC, Spiderman and Rolling Stones)

After I went to meet Amy for lunch at Cafe Nell (the Crab Louie salad is divine). Then I wandered around 23rd and then made it home to rest as all my sinus issues are back.

With two weeks and counting with Max during the day I am really amped up to find a job. My one bright light is waiting for the Sakura to arrive!

What Does One TRILLION Dollars Look Like?

All this talk about "stimulus packages" and "bailouts".. .
A billion dollars...
A hundred billion dollars... Eight hundred billion dollars...
One TRILLION dollars...
What does that look like?

We'll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation. Most everyone has seen them, slighty fewer have owned them. Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000. Fits in your pocket easily and is more than enough for week or two of shamefully decadent fun.

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000). You could stuff that into a grocery bag and walk around with it.

While a measly $1 million looked a little unimpressive, $100 million is a little more respectable. It fits neatly on a standard pallet.

And $1 BILLION dollars... now we're really getting somewhere...

Next we'll look at ONE TRILLION dollars. This is that number we've been hearing so much about. What is a trillion dollars? Well, it's a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros.
You ready for this?
It's pretty surprising.

So the next time you hear someone toss around the phrase "trillion dollars"... that's what they're talking about.

Today is my Birthday!!

After days on end of celebrating (my birthday IS my favorite holiday), today is actually my birthday. The weather outside is not great - rainy this morning and cold. I am wearing my blue Dalmatia mikinto dress with black Alexander McQueen for target leggings and the black kimono style cardigan from spring 2005 (and ballet flats).

Some good news arrived - that Max got into the highly competitive daycare where Jon works and starts September 8, which finally leaves me open to find a full-time job without the extra stress of what to do with Max. I fired off six resumes this morning and am about to fax and mail) another. I am hoping that with 5 days a week to purely focus I wont end up slogging make up at Nordstrom (or worse - the Macy's downtown).

Also a great surprise was my friend who managed to snag that Sakura dress for me on ebay yesterday while I was out with Max. It has made me so unbelievably happy, to have a covet item (and scratch something off my list for a low $150).

I just took Max for a sushi lunch and then we are headed to JCrew (another friend sent me an e-gift card that I printed out when I was just at Kinkos).

So far its been a great day, even if the weather isn't amazing...

Oh yeah, did anyone else watch Rachel Zoe last night? That show, I hate watching it yet I can't stop!

Orange Beach, Alabama

Ahhh......the beach was grand.
The low volume of people and great weather made for a wonderful, "wining" combination this weekend for me and my two friends.

This is the view from my friend Ann's condo....

We would go to the beach every day but once we had enough of the sand and intense sun...we would go here.
Which is where we pretty much spent the remainder of our days.

At night we would hit the local seafood restaurants.
Saturday night we ate here which was VERY good...even though it wasn't "Louisiana food" HA!
After we ate we went to go see "Julie and Julia"
Which was an interesting movie loosely based on Julia Child and a young woman who endeavors to cook every single recipe in her cookbook within one years time.

There are some "issues" within the movie...such as the "F" bomb. So I don't recommend this movie to everyone.
I rarely go to movies not that I am against them......I just don't like being surprised during them and I don't like paying $9.00 for them either....which is what we paid to see this.
Absurd.

Once leaving Orange Beach late that Sunday afternoon, my friend Ann and I stopped at the really BIG Outlet Mall they have in Foley, AL. and I spent my money at the "Christian Bookstore"....so now I have a ton of reading to do. HA!

AS IF I HAVE TIME!

We are now at the "SIX week marker for the Wedding of Miss Priss and Mr. Joshua."
Ugh.....

That is why I took this opportunity to go with my friends on this short trip.
And I once again I concluded this thought:
"It is always SO good to get away........and it's always so good to come home!"

Apalah arti sebuah cinta??



Cinta adalah sebuah perasaan dalam hati untuk seseorang yang paling kita sayangi dan kita cintai..dengan cinta semua orang bisa bahagia,dengan cinta semua orang merasa senang.namun terkadang cinta membuat kita sakit dan perih.cinta itu adalah sebuah misteri..karena cinta tak bisa dilihat dengan mata,namun hanya bisa dirasakan didalam hati saja..aku pun tak mengerti itu semua.yang ku tahu hanyalah menyayangi seseorang dan membuat dia bahagia saja.





Semua orang pasti membutuhkan cinta..tanpa cinta kita semua terasa hampa…kosong….

Mlm yang indah ku tulis sebuah syair tuk mengungkapkan isi dalam hatiku,ku tulis kata demi kata,bait demi bait yang ada dalam pikiranku saat itu.ku tulis dengan hati ku yang paling dalam,penuh rasa,penuh makna.ku ambil sebuah gitar dalam kamarku,ku lantunkan nada-nada syahdu dalam anganku.ku buat sebuah lagu saat inspirasiku mulai jalan.ku jadikan karyaku yang pertama kali pada saat itu,walau lagu itu tak se-merdu tak seindah lagunya melly gueslow,namun jadi diri sendiri adalah hal yang utama bagiku.
