A Great Beach Read! Intimate Flames by Annette Snyder

Most families have many relationships within the family itself. Intimate Flames, my newest release and very first contemporary romance, centers on just that. A young woman named Bradie Carpenter finds herself alone and pregnant after the sudden death of her boyfriend, Grant Blain, sole heir to his family fortune. This story chronicles changes in Bradie’s self-esteem after Grant’s death, the birth of her child and finally meeting of a wonderful man and family who accept her for who she is. Reading Intimate Flames, you’ll meet many of Andrew ‘Amen’ Packard’s siblings and learn how each person involved in the lives of Amen and Bradie have a positive impact on their lives. With this novel, you’ll discover a hero and heroine who learn to let love and trust into their hearts again. It’s a gratifying romance which begins and ends on Independence Day.

Since Intimate Flames circles my favorite holiday, Fourth of July, and I love the sun, the beach and everything hot, as my thanks to Linda for having me, I’m offering a wonderful summer prize package. Just leave a comment for your chance to win a beach tote, big enough for all your summer supplies, a bottle of sunscreen to protect you from the harmful rays of the sun and an autographed copy of Intimate Flames, the perfect Summer romance read!

You can pick up your copy of Intimate Flames at the publishers site http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/ or visit my website http://annettesnyder.atspace.com/ for more information on my work. Once you’re there, don’t forget to check out my Event’s page. June Poll Results Are In...

The results for the June Poll are finally in! Here's what you Hairlista Diva's voted for:

What has been the hardest part of your hair journey?

45% Said : Understanding your hair.
28% Said : Finding staple products
22% Said : Sticking to a regimen
5% Said : Lack of support from family/friends

The majority of the Hairlista Diva's said understanding your hair has been the hardest part of their hair journey - which is quite reasonable since that what this journey is all about :)

Be sure to check out the new Poll for the month of JULY!

Wednesday July 1

This should be happy hump day, but again it was a stress filled day starting out with a meeting at the museum for YP and the upcoming Marking Portland event, summer film series, night at the museum event and holiday party. The two hours I was supposed to have to myself were filled with the usual meeting, meet a friend for quick coffee, phone calls, track down this person to sign their Portland fashion week contract, and then that person. If I got paid for all the free work I did, I would be able to buy a gown from SE.

I had to walk up to NW 23rd today to fed ex a package, and the go to the Dr then rushing off to volunteer by 3:30 which took up most of the afternoon, not leaving me anytime to go and ship the Cilla blouse to my friend.

The thing that has gotten me down the most is that a friend of mine had been brokering some Mayle deals for me and I was so close to re-purchasing a Dalmatia Vanya and a green Pelle, but as you know from last week I had to refund someone b/c the Aurelie didn't work out (and this was partially my fault not realizing that I hadn't told them it was a 2 therefore the right thing to do) and still waiting for this allusive check. So now having put said friend in a bad situation, I am losing both dresses because I just don't have the dough to pay for them, and she doesn't want to be the go-between. I suppose I shouldn't care, its only fabric but I hate disappointing a friend and I hate losing out on two pieces that I covet.

On the bright side I did manage to sell the Mikinto on ebay for $295. That person is super lucky. Its an awesome top and needs a loving home. The aurelie didn't sell, so I re listed it. Its a 2! One would think someone would want it! And I listed the petulia, as the chest is way too tight for me, though 50% of me hopes that it doesn't sell, I lose 10 more pounds and can wear it.

It's 7:37. We just finished dinner which was crab cakes, corn, salad and a berry/cherry cold soup (raspberries, strawberries and blueberries) with a dollop of fat free plain yogurt on top. I feel full and tired and have the day to myself tomorrow to do things like go to the post office and sit out side and try to get past page 20 of my book club book "lush life" by richard price which I can't get into, or follow and then contact some temp agencies as I feel like its going to take ages to find areal job here.

Its almost the fourth of July. Its amazing to me that even though today is July 1st, it seems like summer is already over......
