U.K.'s Neil Fingleton is the world's second tallest man. But he is the winner of the title the World's biggest hands. Neil was towering over the tourists today on Hollywood Blvd. At 7 ft 7.56 inches (232.6 cm), Fingleton has some big feet as well.
When she first arrived in Sweden after her rescue from a Nazi concentration camp, Judith Popinski was treated with great kindness.
She raised a family in the city of Malmo, and for the next six decades lived happily in her adopted homeland - until last year.
In 2009, a chapel serving the city's 700-strong Jewish community was set ablaze. Jewish cemeteries were repeatedly desecrated, worshippers were abused on their way home from prayer, and "Hitler" was mockingly chanted in the streets by masked men.
"I never thought I would see this hatred again in my lifetime, not in Sweden anyway," Mrs Popinski told The Sunday Telegraph.
"This new hatred comes from Muslim immigrants. The Jewish people are afraid now."
Malmo's Jews, however, do not just point the finger at bigoted Muslims and their fellow racists in the country's Neo-Nazi fringe. They also accuse Ilmar Reepalu, the Left-wing mayor who has been in power for 15 years, of failing to protect them.
Mr Reepalu, who is blamed for lax policing, is at the centre of a growing controversy for saying that what the Jews perceive as naked anti-Semitism is in fact just a sad, but understandable consequence of Israeli policy in the Middle East.
While his views are far from unusual on the European liberal-left, which is often accused of a pro-Palestinian bias, his Jewish critics say they encourage young Muslim hotheads to abuse and harass them.
The future looks so bleak that by one estimate, around 30 Jewish families have already left for Stockholm, England or Israel, and more are preparing to go.
With its young people planning new lives elsewhere, the remaining Jewish households, many of whom are made up of Holocaust survivors and their descendants, fear they will soon be gone altogether. Mrs Popinski, an 86-year-old widow, said she has even encountered hostility when invited to talk about the Holocaust in schools.
"Muslim schoolchildren often ignore me now when I talk about my experiences in the camps," she said. "It is because of what their parents tell them about Jews. The hatreds of the Middle East have come to Malmo. Schools in Muslim areas of the city simply won't invite Holocaust survivors to speak any more."
Hate crimes, mainly directed against Jews, doubled last year with Malmo's police recording 79 incidents and admitting that far more probably went unreported. As of yet, no direct attacks on people have been recorded but many Jews believe it is only a matter of time in the current climate.
Monica Leon is Missing according to her brother Gabrielle (seen on the left in the 1st photo below carrying flowers). Gabrielle told me yesterday afternoon that he hasn't seen or heard from "DANGER" for a week. Her phone has been disconnected and she hasn't been to her apartment. The last time I saw Monica was on Valentine's Day with her husband Gizmo. Monica told me she was pregnant a week before so I found it surprising that she was smoking cigarettes. Danger was in high spirits and honestly I don't know if it was from drugs or mental illness or just natural. A month ago Monica Leon lost custody of her 1 year old daughter so it is surprising that she announced her new pregnancy. According to her brother, Monica doesn't leave without telling him where she is going. Hopefully she is safe.
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation: 56% of Americans think the federal government poses a threat to the rights of Americans.Last week a party – the Compton Cookout – was held off-campus near the University of California San Diego, and the firestorm it has created has been massive: Protest marches, teach-ins, protesters who walked out of the teach-ins and campus investigations have ensued. The administration for its part immediately placed blame on perpetrators they believed to be responsible – a so-called white fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha.
Many have cited, with outrage, the Facebook Compton Cookout invitation urging males to wear "straight up jerseys" or a "White T (size XXXL smallest acceptable)." Females were asked to come as "ghetto chicks" who "don't speak well, have short, nappy hair" and "usually have gold teeth, start fights and drama, and wear cheap clothes."
The rest of the invitation went on to describe the location of the party and the food and drinks available, such as chicken and watermelon.
Despite the denials by Pi Kappa Alpha that they were not behind the cookout, the blame remains on PKA and its white members. Garron Engstrom, chapter president of the Pi Kappa Alpha, said, "The fraternity regrets the display of ignorance and error of judgment made by any individual members who may have attended or were associated via social media with the racially offensive party." The administration continued its Mike Nifong-like prosecution of anyone white who may have attended the event.
The truth was finally revealed on my radio show last night when the true organizer, a self-described "black, crime comedian" named Jiggaboo Jones claimed responsibility for the event. In fact, Mr. Jones disclosed that similar parties have been held in past years going back as far as 2005. Mr. Jones further stated that he recently hosted a similar event with an even raunchier title at UNLV just a few days ago.
The ACLU says that on Jan. 27 the 13-year-old girl refused to stand during the pledge at Roberto Clemente Middle School in Germantown. Her teacher ordered her to stand in the hall. The ACLU says that when she refused to stand the next day, two school police officers escorted her to a counselor's office.
